libkf5filemetadata-dev software package provides library for extracting file metadata, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkf5filemetadata-dev
libkf5filemetadata-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkf5filemetadata-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkf5filemetadata-dev *
You will get with libkf5filemetadata-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
